Spots and Stripes was founded in 2016 by my good friend Louise Marshall and myself over a shared passion for design and a dream to create our own brand. We design repeat patterns for licensing to different sectors from homewares to fashion. We also produce our own range of unique products using
OUR PRODUCTS
We are proud to be a British brand, hence we have ensured that all our products are made in the UK in partnership with specialist manufacturers that share our values, using sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly materials wherever possible. All our paper is FSC certified and our clear eco-friendly bags are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
OUR DESIGN STYLE
Our design style subtly incorporates a spot and a stripe, which we feel are the building blocks of design. Using these core elements we create our own elegantly retro repeat patterns which take inspiration from the past but are brought up to date with a fresh, vibrant colour palette. Our creative approach is to be ‘perfectly imperfect’ in everything we do. We want all our products to have 'old school' values and charm, we achieve that by making our designs a bit wibbly-wobbly with a handmade feel. We believe they have more character this way, and reflect our constant state of mind - that life can’t be perfect but perfectly imperfect will do.
