Dance Underground
Event Design & Print
As part of Visit London's drive to showcase London as the best destination for world class art, theatre and night life, SML Marketing and Events coordinated a series of stunts that would grab media attention and induce public interaction thereby exposing these exciting tourist draw cards in a fun and interactive way.
To celebrate the sensational opera, dance and ballet that are on offer in London, Visit London teamed up with London Underground, Eurostar and one of the world’s great dance ensembles, Rambert Dance Company, to bring a little culture to the Monday morning tube communters and give them a taster of what’s to come in 2005.
From 11.40am Rambert Dance Company performed excerpts from ‘Constant Speed’ at Canary Wharf Underground Station. The performance continued from Canary Wharf station to Waterloo station on the Jubilee line and concluded in the Eurostar departure concourse, Waterloo International at 12.10pm.
‘Constant Speed’ was a production that had been specially commissioned by the Institute of Physics as part of their Einstein Year to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Einstein’s major theories.

As SML's appointed design partner, my task included designing the logo inspired by 'speed of light' and the London Underground. Creating signage, staff lanyards and promotional posters, as well as the event brochure.
